RUSSIANS MAINTAIN THEIR POSITION.
London, August 24. TriK latost Russian official dospatch says all tho attacks by the Turks at Sbipka Pass woro repulsed. Tho Russians maintained their position, and havo been reinforced.
Fighting continues. TURKS MET WITH HEAVY LOSSES. Tho Turks suffered an enormous loss. The Russian loss is relatively slight — many officers killed. ANOTHER VICTORY FOR THE RUSSIANS.
A Russian unofficial despatch reports a victory near Solvi. TURKS REPORT A BRILLIANT VICTORY.
A Turkish unofficial dospatch says Mehamet AH achieved a brilliant victory at Eski Djuraa, near Shumla.
RUSSIANS KEPULSED. Bombay, August 25. Mehoraet All has repulsed fourteen battalions at Eski Djuraa.
STILL FIGHTING.
A Russian official says that after desperate and continuous fig-hting- for thirteen hours at Shipka on the 23rd, the Russians maintained their ground.
TURKS CLAIM A VICTORY.
Suleiman Pasha telegraphs on the 21st — Scaled Shipka heights. Fought fourteen hours, and retained conquered position.
Unsuccessfully attacked tho Russian entrenchments, but hopes yet to succeed.
