On the 28th, Venuß will be at greatest distance from the sun ; and on the 29th, Japiter will bo in conjunction with the moon, nearly 4£deg to the south. The evening sky is interesting to an observer. Japiter on the meridian about 7, and Mars a little before 9 and about 11 o'clock. The milkyway is very brilliant in the zenith. Venus is conspicuous in early morning.
