SIR, — A report having been circulated by Mrs George Oliver of the Mangorei, charging me with having set fire to their house, which was burnt down on the 15 th November last, when I placed the matter in the hands of my Solicitor to demand a public apology for making such a statement — I enclose a copy of such apology for publication. , I am, Sir, your obedient servant, CHARLES HULKE.
