WIND-UP SOCIAL.

GERALDINE MUSICAL SOCIETY. The Geraldine Musical Society held a wind-up of the season social at the Masonic Hall on Wednesday evening, some forty members attending and spending a very enjoyable evening with music, song, competitions, etc. Mr Bruce Logan presided, and welcomed the visitors on behalf of the' Society. He thanked Mr E. P. White (conductor), Miss E. Sherratt (accompaniste), and Miss I. Henry (secretary) for their services during the winter. The programme commenced with a pianoforte duet by the Misses Sherratt, and songs were contributed by Messrs B. Logan, G. Knibb, B. Heaton, and Mrs Hibbs and Miss Moncur. Mr E. B. Bell gave some recitations, and the Society sang part-songs, all items being much enjoyed and earning well-merited applause. The various competitions were won by Mr E. White, Mrs W. J. Couling, Miss E. Sherratt, and Miss G. Williamson. A- very enjoyable evening concluded with the singing of “Auld Lang Syne.”
