The lie', (-anon Hamilton performed the marriage ceremony, and the service was scmi-choral, Miss Hawke presiding at the organ. As the bride entered the church, the choir sang “How welcome was the call.” The bride, who was given away' by her father, wore a charming dress of while silk, trimmed with rich embroidered silk lace, and the skirt was prettily ;draped. ohe also 'wore an embroidered veil and orange blossom. The 'bride carried a shower bouquet of white chrysantheums. The • chief bridesmaid, Miss Webster, cousin of the bride, was dressed sweetly iu cream chrystaline, trimmed with silk lace, also • carrying a bouquet of chrysantheuins. The otlier two bridesmaids, Misses F. and F. Walker, were dressed becomingly in meant, silk striped delaine. The bridegroom was attended by Air Hunnn as best man. As the wedding party left Ihe church, Mendelssohn's “Wedding March” was played, one of the younger members of the choir preceding The bridal party, strewing rose petals in their path. They also received K •ood supply of confetti and rice. Afternoon tea was partaken of at Mr Walker’s residence, whore the usual I oasis were honoured, and an inspection made of many handsome and useful presents. The happy pair left ;iv the second express, on route for Christchurch, a large number of friends assembling at the railway slatior.i to sav good-bye.
