OTICE is hereby given that at a . Special Meeting of the Geraldine Town Board held on WEDNESDAY, the 11th day of December, 1901, the following resolutions were duly adopted, viz : : (1) That the resolution by way of Special Order adopted at a Special Meeting of the B. ard held on the 29th day of July, 1901, aud coiiGrrnsd at a Special Meeting of tho said Board held on the 28th day of August, 1901, that the Board do make and levy a Special Annual Recurring Rate of id in the £ upon the value of all rateable property in the Town District of Geraldine for the purpose of providing for interest and sinking fund upon a Special Loan of £2503 authorised by the ratepayers to bo raised for the construction of water-works for a water-supply be Rescinded, and in lieu thereof that the following resolution be adopted viz : (2) That in pursunnce of the powers con ferred by .Sections 24 —32 of the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1886, aud of all other (if any) enabling powers, the Geraldine Town Board do Make aud Levy a Special Annual Recur ring Rate of Id in the £ upon the value of all rateable property in the Tcwn District of Geraldine as appearing on the Valuation Roll for the time being in force, for the purpobe of providing for interest and sinkiog fund upon a Special Loan of £2500 authorised by the the .Town District of Geraldiue to be raised for the construction of waterworks f»r a water supply, and the construction of all works incidental thereto ; aud further, that euch rate be payable annually on the firs; Tuesday of February in each year extending over a period of 26 years, as and beiog the period of the currency of the said loan. And notice is hereby further given that a Special Meeting to Confirm the said Resolutions will be held at the < iffice of the Geraldine Town Board on FRIDAY, the 10th day of January, 1902, from which date the Special Order makim; the aforesaid rate shall take effect. A counter delivery of correspondence will be made from 7 to 8 o'clock on the 24th and 319 t inst., respectively.
