Mackenzie Collie TJog Club.—A committee meeting of the Mackenzie Collie Dog Club was held at McMillan's Hotel on Saturday evening, for the purpose of transacting important business in connection with the successful carrying through of the club's object —its now fast approaching annual gathering on the last Thursday in March next, when the club carries out its usual four very strong class events, it having been decided to continue having one for youths under IS years. The club gives higher money prizes than in former years also a second gold medal to dog coming next to champion, medal winner, and holder of the club's cup. Several valuable specials have already been promised, which the committee decided to allot at its next sitting, first Saturday in March, when it is sanguinely anticipated that satisfactory arrangements will have been made in securing a very capable judge from far out of the district, and suitable ground and sheep secured, given which no doubt should occur but that this Club will experience as successful a year as has been its good fortune the last few years when the trials have been run under its auspices
