THE PANAMA CANAL SCANDAL.
Paris, March 25. MM. Blondon and DeLesßeps have appealed against the sentence passed upon them. Tho Paris correspondent of the Berliner Tageblatt haß been expelled from France for alleging in hia correspondence that the son of President Carnot is identical with Monseiur - —, the unknown recipient of a large number of Panama Canal Company's cheques. Baron Mohrenheim, the Russian Ambassador, who threatened to resign the Embassy, owing to suspicion being cast on him as the unknown recipient, has received from M. Ribot, the Premier, a satisfatory explanation in connection with the matter, and has withdrawn his threat.
