The drawing for the coursing meeting wibch takes place on Mr W. Poatlethwaita’s Raukapuka estate to-day and to-morrow took place at the Grown Hotel, Geraldine, on Tuesday morning last, with the following results; — Geraldine All-aged Stakes, for IS allaged dogs, at £2 2s each. Winner, £l9 10s; runner-up, £9 18s ; third and fourth dogs, £2 2s each, less IS per cent. Mr A. H. Brisco’s r b Fannolla ra ets Mr D. Mahoney’s r and w d Rockhampton. Mr /. Cunningham’s r b Crescent runs a bye. This meeting promises to be a thorough success. As will be seen a good number of dogs have been entered, some coming from as far south as Dunedin, while others come from Christchurch. The ground is now in splendid order for coursing, and given fine weather the gathering should eclipse even that of last year, which was acknowledged to be one of tbs most enjoyable of the season. Hares are plentiful at present on the Raukapuka instate, and it is to ba hoped that a large number of sportsmen will take advantage of this opportunity of an enjoyable day> outing]
