Self Sacrifice.— Intelligence received at Melbourne from the New Hebrides, dated March 10th, says Towards the end of 1886 two missionaries of the Bible .Society established themselves at Quinn, a small bay situated three miles to the north of the Catholic mission at Port Banam, on the coast of Mallieo'o. Here they lived peacefully until 27th Pebioary last, when the Rev, Mr Morton i was attacked by a auraber of oativefl, and would have be~n killed but for the heroic and selt-iscrificing devotion of a man of color from Malo named Houry, attached to the service of the mission, who long himself between toe rev, gentleman aod « gun aimed at him. received j.Jjs who'e of the chaige, and fell dead upon ihe spot, ThO particulars of this tragic «.v«nt are furnished by the Rev. Mr Leggatt, the colleague of the missionary attacked. .
