TEMUKA TOWN BOARD.

A meeting of the above was held last Thursday eveniDg. Present Messrs Gray (Chairman), Blyth, Brown, and suinn. MINUTES. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. COBRESPONDBNCI. Letters were read from the Colonial Secretary re alteration of boundary and enclosing Gazette notice. THB LIMPS. The Chairman said he had seen Mr Ogilvie about the lamps, and arranged with him to make four lamps, but only to v erect three. It was decided to let the question of erecting the fourth lamp remain over until next meeting. ACCOTTNTS. Accounts to the amount of £3 8i 4d were passed for payment. NEW OFFICE. • Plans fora new office were laid on the table and approved of, and tenders ordered to be called for the work at once. BESERYXS. •'" It was also decided to call for tenders for the lease of reserves in Vine street for the the term of five years. DIVISION OS" rtJNDS. It? was: decided that the whole Board should meet the Road Board on the 16th to arrange to the division of funds between the two Boards. - MISCELLANEOUS. It was decided that the Chairman should obtain information as to the price of iron crossings. Mr Dunn's offer of a horse and dray and man at lis per day was accepted. The bye-laws were then adopted, and the Chairman authorised to get them printed as cheaply a» possible. The meeting then adjourned for a week. J
