THE Education Board of the District of South Canterbury hereby notifien that the Public School of Temuka has been created a DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOL under Clause 55 of The Education Act 1877. A Secondary Oonrso of Instruction will forthwith be commenced, the subjects of the course being selected as may be found most suitable from the District High School Syllabus, which comprises Euclid, Trigonometry, Mechanics, Laiin, Greek, French, German and English. The Fees for each Pupil taking a Secondary Course will be- For one subject, 10s per quarter ; for two subjects, 12s 6d per quarter ; and for three or more subjects, 159 per quarter. Persons desiring their children to enter on the Secondary Course, are requested to communicate with the Head Master of the School, specifying the subjects they wish to be taught. H. W. Catholics, as such, have, therefore, no other connection with the said company than the mere fuct of some of them holdins: shares in its as in any other mercantile company.
