AUCTIONEERS' REPORTS
GEKALDINE. Messrs Mundell and Co. report as follows as to their transactions daring the week : They held a sale of drapery, etc., at Woodbury on Tuesday last, but owing to the inclemency of the weather the attendance of buyers was not numerous, They got through several lines of good, useful goods, purchasers obtaining bargains.
At their monthly sale at their yards, Geraldine, on Wednesday last, the entries were large, and there was a capital attendance of buyers, This was no doubt owing to the fine weather, resulting in good prices being obtained all round. Sheep—Of 460 entered for sale, 390 hoggets were quitted at Bs, and 70 fat sheep, at 13s each,
Cattle—'l h re were 21 three to six-year-old steers in the yards, realising from £5 upwards. Ten springing cows fetched from £4 17s 6d to £7 10s. Horses—There were nine horses of all kinds entered. Three year-old geldings were sold at from £5 to £7 10s. One two-year-old filly, * very nice animal, £7 15s. Harness horses realised from £4 upwards. A quantity of agricultural implements were also disposed of at satisfactory rates.

475, and New Zealand do at 44s to 475. Adelaide flour, ex store, is worth 335. Australian tallow—Best beef, 40s ; best mutton, 41s,

Shortly, howeTer, before the hour he intended to set ant on his errand, the merchant receired from hii belored a billet doux to the following effect; ' Of the dresses you sent I like one quite as well as the other. I will, in fact, keep both, so that you hare no need to call.'
Rowland Hill rode a gre*t deal, and by exercise preserved vigorous health.
