Miss Gladys Fitzgerald, who underwent an operation for appendicitis recently, is making good progress. . Mrs. C. Handley, Nukumaru, visited Hawera last week for the golf tournament. Mrs. Broderick, Maxwell, was the guest of Mrs. Winks for the tournament. The Waitotara School reopened on Monday after the spring holidays. . Members of the Waitotara Bowling Club formed a “working bee” during the week-end on improvements to the green.
