DEATH OF LORD HEADLEY. MADE PILGRIMAGE TO MECCA. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 7.30 p.m. London, June 22. The death occurred to-day of the fifth Baron Headley, a noted civil engineer and the foremost Mahommedan of England. He was 80 years of age. Lord Headley, who was a past president of the Society Of Engineers, commenced his career on foreshore protection works in England and Ireland. Later he controlled important engineering works in India.
