The power fund account showed receipts of £5739 10s, made up' as follows:— ■: Sale of goods, £7O 5s 6d; sale of current, £5089 12s Id; installation payments, £269 7s 4d; installation interest, £5 7s 2d; ■ rates 1930-31, £22 2s; rent, £8 12s; deposits, £6; sundries, £9 Os lid; refunds Clifton loan, £259 3s. The previous meeting showed a credit of £2288 Ils 9d, but after the payment of accounts for £14,964 17s lid, there would-be a debit balance of £6936 16s 2d, it was stated. The supplementary loan account showed a credit of £3503 15s 2d. The Clifton loan account showed a credit at last , -meeting of £5084 15s 7d, but after .paying accounts for £958 2s 8d and making a refund of £259 3s, there was a credit balance of £3867 9s lid. > The engineer, Mr. Goldsmith, ’ reported that reticulation work in Clifton County was . well in hand, . pole-; erection being almost completed in the original area. The wire-stringing gang was following fairly closely, and he expected the bulk of the district would be included in the first section to be livened. The main sub-station transformers were arriving five , weeks late, "and this would delay supply until about July 15. The number of consumers at May 31 was 2329. During the month 1,105,400 units were generated and 1040 purchased, a total of £1,106,400. Power was taken from the department on two days. The largest daily output was 38,800 units, and • the maximum demand 2304 k.w. Installations connected during the month, -figures tor the corresponding period last ' year being,in parentheses, were:—Pumps, 2"(1); lighting and heating (new), ,10 (5); lighting and heating (extension), 14 (16) There were present Messrs. H. G. Carmat (chairman), C. Foreman, J. Dobson, R. J. Knuckey, C. E. McGuinness, M. J. Gernhoefer and N. H. Moss.
