The; offering was of even better quality than formerly, and was in tip-top condition. The maiden Tamworth sows were of outstanding merit and were considered by many; to be -the best line of this class ever offered in the Waikato. Buyers wjerp present from North Auckland, Thames, Coromandel, , Bay of Plenty, Poverty' Bay, Hawkes. Bay, Rangitikfei, ' Tarahaki and 'the King Country'and there l was ; -a good attendance from the Waikato and. adjacent districts. Competition was keen- for sows, particularly for .those .’close to profit. Walsh, Hamilton, 5} gns. -By arrangement with Mr. Chilcott, Mr, N Brymer, “Wimslow” Rotokauri, offered eight pedigree Tamworth pigs. Mr. Brymer is a new breeder, and this is his first annual offering. The foundation of his stud is from Mr. Chilcott s breeding and, judging by his offering on this occasion, his future sales must merit the attention of buyers. His pigs sold as follows:—Two 6 months Tamworth boars, Mr F. S. Donald, Tatuanui, 3 gns. and 31 ’gns.; one to Mr. W. S. Germann, Paterangi, 4} gns.; ond to Mr. T. C. Nottingham. Ngahinappuri, 24 gns.; one to Mr.«S. C. Macky, Paterangi, 3 gns.; also two empty Tamworth sows, 4} gns., Mr. T. J. Martin, Inglewood.
