South Africa defeated Derbyshire by 209 runs, declaring in'.the second innings with four down for 200 and dismissing the county for 198. Only 30 people witnessed the close of the South Africans’ innings, which was continued to allow Siedle a chance to complete his century, but he failed by two runs.
