DANCE AT HUIRANGI
FORESTERS’ LODGE GATHERING. In spite of counter-attractions there was a large attendance at the old-time and modern dance held in the Huirangi hall on Monday night by Count Raleigh of the Foresters’ Lodge. Mr. E. Andrews was in charge of the euchre tournament, which was won by Mrs. Honeyfield (13J games), and Mrs. Sutton (12 games) and by Mr. H. Pearse (12 games) and Mr. Honeyfield (11 games). Dance music was provided by Rowe’s orches-
tra, with an extra dance by Mr. V. Foreman. Mr. I. Vickery was master of ceremonies. A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Mr. and Mrs. T. Frank. Persona! Items. Mr. and Miss Turnbull have returned after touring the East Coast. Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Wells, Mr. and Mrs. L. Nicoll and Mrs. J. W. Wheatley have gone on a motoring tour of the thermal regions of the East Coast. Mr. M. Kenealy, who visited his parents at Huirangi, has returned to Mokau. Mrs. W. Drinkwater, is spending a holiday with her son at Palmerston North.
