OVERSEAS RIDERS COMPETE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. Van Praag and Case, two overseas riders, appeared at the broadsiding meeting at Monica Park on Saturday night. The results were:— A grade handicap final: O. Hobson 2s. 1, A. Lamport 9s. 2. Time, Im. 265. A grade consolation race: Case scr. 1. Time, Im. 26 4-ss. Van Praag.scr. and Rhodes 4s. also started but both fell. Dunlop handicap final: Hobson scr. 1, Talbot 6s. 2, Roscoe 3s. 3. Time, Im. 295.
International points race, three laps:— First heat: Van Praag beat Case in Im. 2s. Second heat: Case beat Van Praag in Im. 2 l-ss. Third heat: Van Praag beat Case in lm. 3 l-ss.
