STRATHMORE NEWS.

DISTRICT PERSONAL NEWS. Sound pictures were shown in the Strathmore hall last Monday. There was a large attendance, many coming from Makahu and Pohukura. Mr. and Mrs. J. Reith, who have been on holiday at a New Plymouth beach, returned to Strathmore last week. Mr. R. H. Lambert, accompanied by his sister, Miss P. Lambert, was the guest of Mr. M. Gall last week-end. Miss Lambert left by train for Ohura. Mrs. I. West has returned to her home on the Akama Road, after a holiday at New Plymouth. Mr. S. M. Gall, New Plymouth, spent-a week-end with his people .at Brewer Road. Miss J. Boyle, who has been spending a holiday at a New Plymouth beach, has returned to Strathmore. Mr. S. Payne, while playing tennis, slipped and sprained his ankle. Mr. H. Garlick is in the Stratford Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Gall, accompanied by Mr. C. Drake, paid a flying visit to Mr. M. Gall last week. Mr. and Mrs. Hatcher, former residents of the district, paid a visit to Strathmore recently.
