CYCLIST KILLED
COLLISION AT INTERSECTION. FATALITY AT ASHBURTON, By Telegraph—Press Association. Chriptchureh, Last Night Thomas Leadley Weir, a single man aged 25, was killed on the intersection of the Newjands and Fairton roads at Ashburton at 7.30 p.m. yesterday. He was riding a jnotor-eyele with-his bro<ther, Samuel George Weir, on the pillion when the cycle collided, with a car driven by Montagne Cooke, manager of the Seafield Irrigation Farm. Mr. Weir received injuries to the head from which he died in a few minutes- His ' brother received abrasions and shock and was admitted to a private hospital at Ashburton. Thomas Weir was thbaon of the manager of the Selma Estate. Chertsey, Mr. Cooke was not hurt.
