SAMOAN WOMAN DIES
SEPTIC WOUND IN NECK. MURDER CHARGE AS SEQUEL. ■ ■■ / ’ By Telegraph— Press Assn.—Copyright ■ Apia, Feb. 21. • A Samoan woman aged about 50, named Tailesa, of Mutiatele Alepiata, Upolu, while passing through the village of Lealatele Lepa became involved in an altercation with a small Samoan boy and it is alleged that another Samoan, woman intervened, Tailesa receiving a wound in the neck from a small fish spear. She was cared for- at Lealatele and left there for her home next morning, but was not seen again until foqnd in the bush about half a mile from the village of Salespaga on February 8. Tailesa, it is stated, was in the habit of wandering into the bush for long periods by herself. She was admitted to the Alepiata Hospital on. February: 10 and died there the following day from •- the result of a septic wound in the neck. On February 14 the . . police arrested a woman named Amio, of Lepa, who wa« charged in the High Court y/ith murder, and the case was remanded for hearing before Judge Luxford on March 4.
