FOUR HOURS’ WORK

RESCUE OF INJURED MAN. ACCIDENT ON SKI-ING GROUND. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, Nov. 5. Mr. Wilfred Burnett Myhr, aged 27, a member of the Christchurch Ski Club, struck a rock through falling in a soft patch of snow while ski-ing at Temple Basin, Arthur’s Pass, yesterday and suffered slight concussion, head injuries and abrasions. The greatest difficulty lay in getting the injured man from the ski-ing grounds to the station, taking four hours as the country was rough and mountainous. An excursion train was delayed 80 minutes to await the arrival of the roccue party. Mr. Myhr is now in hospital here and his condition is satisfactory.
