CRICKET SERIES CONCLUDES. MATCHES PLAYED WITH MARCO. Playing on the Marco ground on Saturday, a Marco cricket team defeated Kohuratahi by an innings and 27 runs. Kohuratahi was not able to field its best team. The younger members of the teams are making good progress under the coaching of the club captain, Mr. Perry. It was the final of the first series of matches between the two teams, Marco being victorious by two matches to °nc. The Kohuratahi Tennis Club held a successful club match on Sunday, when, favoured by perfect weather, over 40 players were present. Sides were picked by the captain and vice-captain, and ths games resulted in a win for the vicecaptain’s team by ten sets to five. One of the most successful dances of the season was held by the Kohuratahi Tennis Club on Friday night, visitors being present from all parts of the district. Music was supplied by Vinsen’s Ambassadors, extras being played by Mesdames Connor and Curry and Miss Eldridge. A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Miss K. O’Dea and Mr. K. Anderson and a statue log cabin by Mrs. Nicol and Mr. K. Bacon. Miss E. Cleland has returned from a visit to Hamilton. Mr. Jack Ewart, Aukopae, spent the week-end with his brother. Mr. B. Powell, Karioi, has been the guest of Mrs. G. Connor. Mr. W. Hunt, who has been indisposed for'some time, will not be able to resume duty before the end of the month.
