BANKRUPT SLAUGHTERMAN

FAILURE DUE TO COURT ACTION. REASONS GIVEN ASSIGNEE. Proceedings taken against him in the criminal Court in August,. 1931, was the reason given by Norman Tinney, bankrupt slaughterman, of Eltham, to the official assignee, Mr; C. O. Pratt, at Hawera yesterday. This had involyed him in the expenditure of £l5O. ■ • Tinney’s‘statement- showed a deficit of £lOO 7s 9d. There were no assets, and this amount is owing to unsecured creditors, the ' principal of whom are Dr. Simmons £ll and D.'Roots £6 17s lOd (both of Patea), Dr. H. D. Saunders:£9 13s, C. A. Belcher £l5 7s 6d, A. Ware £5 Is 5d (all of Eltham), E. Bennett £l6 (Mariaia), Huinga Meat Cd. £9 3s lOd, State- Advances Office £8 Ils. Tinney said all his .savings had gone in legal - expenses and he had- also had to borrow. Since August, 1932, he had been employed at Eltham, averaging less than £3 a week. He had a wife.and two children, and his. wife and one child needed medical attention.
