TOUR OF FAITH IN AUSTRALIA
MONOPLANE’S VISIT TO WESTPORT By Telegraph—Press Association. ‘ Westport, Jan. 14. Mr. C. T. P. Uhn’s plane Faith in Australia, piloted by Flight-Lieut. G. U. Allen, arrived from Wanganui on Saturday afternoon, but had made only one flight when rain set in the flying ceased for the day. However, the visitors fared better to-day, when they were kept busy in passenger flights from North Carter’s beaches. There was a large gathering of people and an added interest was given to the scene by the arrival of three other planes. One of these was also indulging in passenger flights. Squadron-Leader Stedman, with a passenger from Wellington, made a successful forced landing on Roselli’s farm during a heavy squall yesterday afternoon. He took off to-day and resumed the flight to Hokitika.
