At Northern Union in the Lancashire Cup second round St. Helen’s Rec. defeated Swinton 19—5. The Australian League team defeated Hunslet 22—18, after leading by 12 to 10 at half-time. At Rugby Union United Services 14 defeated the Rest of Hants 9. In the Football Association’s charity shield match between last season’s cup winners and the league champion Arsenal 3 defeated Everton 0. In a Northern Union game London Highfield beat Broughton 15—11.
