Heeley (England), 6—3, 6—l, in an exhibition match as the concluding feature of the Pacific South-West tournament/ Turnbull’s extraordinary play completely overshadowed Perry. He won all five services with ease and scored five clean aces. He also played an invincible net game, making many points with chop shots. In the second set he won a love game on four serves. The first two were so hard that Miss Heeley and Perry were barely able to touch them, and the last two were aces.

In the final of the men’s double Stoefen and Vines (United States) defeated Van Ryn and Gerald Stratford (United States) 6—2, 6—3, 3—6, 6—4.
