UNEMPLOYMENT.

(To the Editor.)

Sir,—l have noticed several letters in the Daily News offering solutions to the problem of unemployment. It is a * national canker, and must be removed or it will ruin our coming manhood and womanhood. Dealing drastically with our first class hand holdings is the best medicine for the cure of the disease. One cannot expect this from those who are in command of the State ship at present. They are spending millions of pounds on second class land,, which the country cannot afford to do. This Dominion had a taste ..of this second class land policy by way of settling soldiers which will leave a hole in our pockets for many years to come.—l am, etc., “AGED FARMER.” Nomianby, Sept. 25.
