HEAD CRUSHED BY LORRY

ACCIDENT IN GRAVEL PIT.

Whakatane, Sept. 25.
A labourer, E. Jarrett, was killed this morning in the Poroporo gravel pit. He was running beside a loaded lorry when he slipped and fell, a lorry wheel passing over him and crushing his head. Death was immediate. He, leaves a wife and ten children.
