DOMINION OVERSEAS TRADE FAVOURABLE BALANCE £12,000,000. LARGE INCREASE LAST MONTH. IMPORTS STILL DECLINING*. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Figures for the overseas trade of New Zealand for June, 1933, show that exports were valued at £3,700,836 and imports at £1,706,098. The figures for June, 1932, were exports £2,605,112 and imports £1,866,877. For the period of six months ended in June, 1933, exports were £23,658,395 and imports £10,457,193. The balance in terms of New Zealand currency (excluding specie) was £10,728,000. For the corresponding period in 1932 the figures were exports £22,178,521 and imports £11,165,823, the balance being £9,512,000. For the. twelve months ended in June, 1933, exports were £38,445,654 and imports £22,336,476, the balance being £12,180,000. The previous year exports were £35,546,573 and imports £23,063,476, the balance being £10,013,000. ’ The values recorded for exports are the declared f.o.b. values in terms of New Zealand currency while the values recorded for imports are the current domestic values in the countries of export, plus 10 per cent.
