MAGISTRATE NOT SATISFIED
INTERPRETATION BY CHINESE. ANOTHER INTERPRETER DEMANDED By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. The hearing of charges, nearly all under the Gaming Act, against 28 Chinese took an unusual turn in the Magistrate’s Court this afternoon, when Mr. E. D. Mosley, S.M., expressed dissatisfaction with an interpreter and adjourned the hearing till to-morrow to enable another interpreter to be obtained. “I am not satisfied with the interpreter,” the magistrate said. “I am going to have a subpoena issued for another. All I want is the truth, and I am not satisfied that I have got it so far.”
