INSURANCE COMPANIES’ CLAIM. DEFECT AND NEGLIGENCE ALLEGED By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, July 13. The Morning Post’s Paris correspondent says it is reported that English insurance companies have filed a claim to recover £BOO,OOO paid on account of the French liner Georges Phillippar, which was burned in the Red Sea, on the ground that it was structural and electrical defects and the negligence of officers which caused the disaster.
