WALTER—RUMBALL.

The marriage of Mary, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Rumball, Douglas, to John, second son of the late Mr. E. Walter, Douglas, was celebrated at the Stratford Anglican Church on Wednesday. The church was decorated 'with paper-white spring flowers and greenery. Mr. J. Edmondson played ' the music. The ceremony was performed by Canon G. T. Beale.

The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a dress of deep cream angelskin lace, cut with a draped cowl neckline and pointed corselet skirt. The gown was moulded in fitting lines and fell softly in a full flare to the ground. The sleeves, puffed at the shoulder, came low over the backs of the hands. The bride’s embroidered cream tulle veil was clasped around the back of her head with tiny buds of orange blossom, and finished with a spray on either side. Cream lace-pat-terned shoes and a necklet of pearls added to the picture. The bride carried a bouquet of white spring flowers, white heather and maidenhair fern. 1 ' . The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Florence Rumball, who wore a closely-fitting frock of powder blue with a frilled cape of the same material surmounted by a high collar of white fur. A white felt hat, blue satin shoes and white lace mittens were worn, while the bouquet the bridesmaid carried' was of golden spring flowers, golden wattle and maidenhair fem. The bridegrom was attended by his brother, Mr. Ernie Walter. After the ceremony the bride’s mother entertained. She wore a navy blue dress of satin beaute under a coat of navy charmalaine with a model felt hat to match. Mrs. Rumball’s posy was oft violets, daphne and white heather. The bridegroom’s mother wore a coat of black facecloth with a fur collar arri a hat to match, relieved by touches of orange. Orange spring flowers and maidenhair fern formed her posy. After the reception Mr. and Mrs. Walter left by car for the north, the bride wearing a nigger brown ensemble of wool pique with a fur-trimmed scarf collar. The gloves, shoes and hat were of the same shade, the hat showing a touch of scarlet.
