RAHOTU NOTES
ANGLICAN GUILD WORK. Fifteen Anglican ladies met at Mrs. Hessenbrickle’s residence, Rahotu, on Tuesday afternoon, when Mrs. L. Billing was hostess. It was reported that manyarticles had been made and some sold. Sewing and arranging for future afternoons were discussed. Afternoon tea was provided by Mrs. Hessingbrickle and Miss Corbett. The next fortnightly afternoon is to be held at Mrs. A. Williams’, Ngariki Road . A Thoughtful Donation. The Methodist Ladies’ Guild met on Tuesday and were busy in the vestry of their church. A donation of clothing was sent for Mr. E. Corries children, who suffered loss by fire.
Personal Items. Mr. and Mrs. Lineham’s youngest daughter . Beth is in the Stratford ho»nital. Her condition is satisfactory. Miss G. Fleming and her sister, Mrs. R. Stevenson, have returned from the Auckland and Manawatu districts. . Mr. and Mrs. Tyrrell are in the district visiting relations and friends. Miss Penwarden is visiting Oakura. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sharrock (Pukeatua) and Mr. Henry Hopkins are visiting the district.
