LADIES TO PLAY MEN AT GOLF. ■ Miss P. Fleming with a nett score of 45 won the local competition of the ladies’ golf club played on the Opunake links. The ladies’ team played at Stratford. Waiau Cup results on Wednesday were: Craighead defeated Feaver 4 and 2; Watt defeated-L. M. Stephenson 1 up; Hammond ■ defeated Edmonds 2 and 1; Fraser defeated Anderson 4 and 2. The winners meet in the semi-final. Next Wednesday the ladies’ club members play the men’s club in a challenge match. '■ |
