WAVERLEY RACING CLUB
ANNUAL ELECTION OF OFFICERS. TROTTING EVENT SUGGESTED. There was a fairly good attendance of members at the annual meeting of the Waverley Racing Club yesterday. Mr. J. C. Palmer presided. The annual report and balance-sheet were adopted. The election of officers resulted:—President, Mr. J. C. Palmer; vice-presidents, Messrs. W. R. Brewer and James Dalton; hon. judge, Mr. D. Lupton;. handicapper, Mr. H. Coyle; hon. starter, Mr. I. Lupton; clerk of course, Mr. W. Hunter; clerk of scales, Mr. C. H. Southcombe; assistant clerk of scales, Mr. C, R. Honeyfield; hon. treasurer, Mr. H. W. James; timekeeper, Mr. F. Besley; hon. surgeons, Dr. P. Graves, Dr. Duncan, Dr. W. T. Simmons; hon. veterinary surgeon, Mr. J. Hill Motion; stewards, Messrs. I. Lupton, F. Besley, C. R. Honeyfield, W. H. Watkins, G. Aiken, G. Lupton, W. Matthews, L. Bradley, D. Lupton, G. H. Graham, C. Dickie, Jas. Newland, T. Lupton, C. H. Southcombe, S. G. Davidson and C. C. Johnston; judicial committee, Messrs. G. H. Graham, G. Lupton, C. E. Johnston, Jas. Newland, W.
