HUNTING IN NORTH TARANAKI
HARES PLENTIFUL AT KENNELS.
SPLENDID RUNS AND JUMPING.
The North Taranaki Hunt had a successful meet at the kennels, Waiau Road, yesterday. The weather was perfect and the sport some of the best enjoyed this season, there being three or four kills and some great run - The hounds set off at Mr. Luxtons property on the mam road, and from thence the chase went past the Tikorangi Hall and back. All the fences had been sparred and the jumping was excellent. Among the followers were Messrs. W. T. Joll (deputy master) on Silver Cord, E. Rooke (huntsman) on Ginger, P. Loie (whip) on Penelope, V. R°° ke _ (whlp) on Goldwater, Mesdames R. G. Foreman on Rapid Fire, Whitehead on Dick, Bleakley on Papakura, Misses H. Cole on Nimblefoot, C. Ryan on Michael Shimose, T. Cole on Gingerette, A. Purdie on Tripod, Hill on Hylton, T. Hicks on One Step, Messrs. R. Grant on Breeze, R. Topless on Moerangi, T. Cole on Sleepy, Master Cole on a bay.
