CAPSIZE OF A CAR

INJURIES TO OCCUPANTS.

ACCIDENT NEAR TE KUITI.

Te Kuiti, July 11.

Injuries were received by Mr. H. D. Falconer, of Auckland, when his car capsized on the Awakino Hill, about a mile south of Te Kuiti, on the main New Plymouth Road early this afternoon. Accompanied by Mr. H. Aitken, also of Auckland, Mr. Falconer was proceeding to New Plymouth on a business trip, and when passing another car just past the bend near the residence of Mr. W. J. Broadfoot, M.P., the car skidded on a grpasy stretch of road along the embankment, and, running into the watertable, capsized against the bank. Mr. Falconer, who was driving, received a fracture of the wrist, cuts by glass and severe abrasions. He was admitted to the Te Kuiti hospital. His condition is not serious. ' . Mr. Aitken escaped with bruises and some minor cuts by glass. The car was damaged considerably.
