MURDER OF FIVE GIRLS
GHASTLY CRIMES IN POLAND. FATAL ATTACKS WITH HAMMER. By Telegraph—Press Association. Rec. 8 p.m. Warsaw,’ July 10. A large force of police, assisted by hundreds of police dogs, is combing the villages and forests of Lowicz for a murderer who has crimes similar to those of the Dusseldorf “Ripper.” Within a week five girls aged 14 to 22 have been brutally assaulted with a hammer and killed, mostly in broad daylight. The population of Lowicz is terrified and women refuse to leave their houses. Troops are likely to be called to assist the police in capturing the vampire.
