LAND AND STOCK DIFFICULTY. AMENDMENT TO ACT POSSIBLE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, July 11. During the hearing of the cases brought under the Mortgagors’ Relief Act, 1931, and its amendments comment has been made by judges regarding the difficulty of doing justice between stock mortgagees and land mortgagees, and the suggestion lias been made that the legislation should be amended in order to give the Court power to bind stock mortgagees by an order for what is : known as a pooling arrangement. It is understood that the Government will give consideration to the question of extending the Court’s powers and legislation will probably be introduced next session.
