Woodward, S.M., regarding partially lighted and unlighted vehicles using the roads at’night. He said he had had previous trouble with the tail-light and he knew it was not burning. He intended to get a new bulb at- Inglewood. He did not .know that the headlight was. out. He was convicted and ordered to. pay 12b costs. Norman Ga'mlin pleaded guilty by letter to. riding a cycle in Rata Street without a light.. He was convicted and ordered ..to,< pay 10s costs.

A similar charge was brought against Jack Mischefski, who stated that his light was weak and he was saving it until he got into the town. He was convicted and ordered to pay 5s on account of costs.
