WAITARA PUBLIC SCHOOL

CHAIRMAN CONGRATULATES STAFF The monthly meeting of the Waitara school committee was held on Monday night. Members present were Messrs. W. B. Glasgow (chairman), P. Appleby, L. Andrews, L. Old, C. R. Pickering, A. Chadwick and A. J. Arms (secretary). : The headmaster (Mr. F. R. S. Bullen) reported that the roll at the end of last week was 381 and the average attendance 364. Mr. Crossman, who broke his ankle, was absent from June 19 to June 23 and again from June 28. He would probably not be back until next week. Miss Neville had been relieving during his absence. The chairman said the inspector’s report on the school’s , work was very satisfactory. He had already congratulated the headmaster and asked him to convey to the staff the committee’s satisfaction with the achievements of all the members. The report was as good as had ever been received. >
