In the Parish Hall on Monday evening a flag bridge evening was held in aid of the Anglican queen carnival. Seven tables were occupied. The winners were Mr. and Mrs. Hunt and Mrs. Longstaff. Supper was served by a committee of ladies. Distress Depot

At a meeting of the Inglewood distress relief committee on Monday, at which Captain Read presided, it was reported that the clothes drive held recently had been excellently responded to and during the two months that the depot had been open 11 families had been assisted. It was decided to send a letter of thanKS to Mr. G. Farquhar for his gifts of boots and clothing. Men’s Golf.

Another of the series of five, medal rounds will be played by the Inglewood Golf Club to-morrow. The draw will take place before the match. The position of the players in the medal rounds (best three out of five) is: G. Gemhoefer 73 and 66, D. Sutherland 71 and 73, S. Lovell 71 and 78; C. Twist 78 and 73, R. Belcher 77 and 80, R. Brown 86 and 71, W. Meyer 80 and 83, F. Partridge 81 and 83. G. Gernhoefer’s second round of 66 net his put him well in front, and others will have to present some good cards to catch him. Team for Thursday. j
