GERMANY TO GUARD AUSTRALIA. STORY IN BRISBANE CABLE. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright Rec. 7 p.m. London, July 10. The Daily Herald (Labour) under the heading of “Pay Germans to Guard Australia,” gives prominence to a Brisbane cablegram that Archbishop Duhig suggests that Australia should give back New Guinea to Germany in return for * an Undertaking to provide enough men and ships for the defence of the Commonwealth.
