M. Quin, French Commissioner of Police at Chandernagore, a French colony (tear Calcutta, died this morning from bullet wounds inflicted by three terrorist? who attacked him after escaping frqm a house where he attempted to arrest them.
M- Quin, unarmed, pluckily attacked his opponents, vzho shot him at point blank range. They also wounded an Indian constable and an Indian passerby. Tv/p pf the terrorists escaped, but. the third was arrested. Two Mohammedan villagers were shot dead by a military patrol searching near Chittagong for terrorist absconders. The scene of the shooting is a notorious area. The victim? behaved suspiciously and failed to halt when challenged.
