The annual meeting of the Wairio Jockey Club was. held to-day in dull weather; . There was a. fair attendance. The track was greasy. The‘ totalisator handled £4307, against £5953 last year. Results:—
OHAI MAIDEN HANDICAP, of. £5O. Six furlongs: 4 Slaemish, 9.0 (Barclay), 1; 3 Acla, 8.9 (Cooper), 2; 1 Mayam, 8.13 (Cotton), 3. Also started: 9 Some - Glen 9.0, 8 Glenham Lark 8.12, 5 Balia Salla 8.9, 10 Ecclefechan, 7 Great Shot, 6 Irish Birdcatcher, 2 Orderwood 8.8. Won by a length and a half, a head between second and third. Great Shot was fourth. Time, Im. 17 3-ss.
