DOMINION CROQUET ENDED

OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP TO STRATTON WINNER PLAYS FAULTLESSLY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. A large gallery followed the final of the open championship at the Dominion croquet tournament at Riddiford Park to-day. Having beaten Captain F. L. Hartnell in the semi-final H. P. Strat-ton-played Mrs. Watkins, whom he defeated in two games, 26 —10, 26—1. Stratton played faultless croquet throughout the tournament.

The following trophies were presented by the retiring president (Mrs. H-Rhodes-Williams):— , ’

Open championship: H. P. Stratton; runner-up, Mrs. Watkins. ' Ladies’ championship: Mrs. W. E. Caldow, ’’runner-up, Mrs. Watkins. Championship doubles: Mrs. Palmer and Mr. Stratton; runners-up, Mrs. Henderson and Captain Hartnell. Level singles: Mr. E.
