The Ashhurst races were held in delightful weather to-day. The course was good after rain. The attendance was large and the totalisators handled £3589 (win) and £3198 (place), a total of £6787, compared with £7095 last year, a decrease of £3OB. Results are:— . HACK HURDLES HANDICAP. Ganpat set a hot pace and was early attended by Capetown, Arajean, Fiji and Brambletom. Brambletom joined the leader five furlongs from home and they led to the straight, followed by Habit, Capetown and Fiji. In a good finish Brambletom won by over a length from Fiji. Fiji was a neck in front of Ganpat and Grand Jury was fourth. Time, 2m 6 4-ss. NOVICE STAKES. Of £6O.
